Dr. Monica Pahuja is a Women’s Imaging Specialist with a specific career focus on Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound and Gynaecological MRI, Breast Imaging and Paediatric Imaging.
Dr. Pahuja qualified as a Radiologist in 2001 having trained at the Alfred Hospital. Head of Women’s Imaging (Breast and Gynaecology) at Monash Health Department of Medical Imaging from 2010 to 2021.
Dr.Pahuja was previously the Director of Medical Imaging at the Mercy Hospital for Women and has also worked at the Royal Women’s Hospital. She worked for Monash Ultrasound for Women for 5 years from 2005 to 2011 and is now returning after establishing her private practices.
She was involved with the peak reference body for ultrasound, ASUM for 15 years. Her roles were committee member, scientific convenor for the annual conference and helped write the revised curriculum for the DDU. She sat on the Board of Examiners (DDU) for ASUM with prior appointment of Secretary (4 years) and Chair (6 years).
Dr. Pahuja is the current Chair of the US reference group for the Royal College of Radiologists and is also on the Faculty for the Royal Melbourne Hospital teaching program for Radiology trainees.
Many of the clinical articles relating to Women’s Imaging on The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) website ‘Inside Radiology’ under women’s imaging were authored by Dr Pahuja.
She has a passion for Women’s imaging and is deeply committed to their welfare with a view to delivery of best practice.
